Massage allows time for personal reflection and connecting the mental and physical bodies. It enhances body structure, balance and function. Your health is important and I'm dedicated to being a part of your stress management plan. Health is a constant multi-disciplinary approach to living. Massages are like an "oil change" to prevent gunk build up in your tissues and keep your body running smoothly. When done regularly, every 1-6 weeks, benefits are maximized. Reduction in the number of headaches, improved sleep, stronger immune function, quicker healing and better body awareness are just some of the positiive aspects. Any BODY can receive and benefit from bodywork. To make the most of your session, be sure to drink water a few hours beforehand to hydrate muscle tissue and have a little something in your stomach. Have a meditative mind-set. Consider that you're entering a sacred space; let go of your troubles and try to let your mind rest. Beforehand, talk with your therapist about what you hope to get out of the session and mention any painful/sensitive areas or current medical issues. During the session, you should feel comfortable at all times and be able to breathe easily. Speak up about preferences, concerns or ideas to better suit your individual needs. Plan adequate time to transition back into your daily routine or take it easy the rst of the day. Stretch, drink plenty of water and BREATHE. Massage is a habit you can feel good about! Take control and invest in yourself! You are worth it!
